Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Waleed bin Tha'labah Tai states that Hazrat Dhohak considered it undesirable to write hadith in notebooks.

Hazrat Abdullah, who is the muezzin of Hazrat Dhahhak, narrates that Hazrat Dhahhak said: Do not make copies of hadith like you make copies of the Mushaf.

Hazrat Laith states that Hazrat Mujahid considered it undesirable to write hadith in notebooks.

Hazrat Abu Ma'shar says that Ibrahim considered it undesirable to write hadiths in notebooks.
