Permissibility of composing poetry
Hadith 27685
٢٧٦٨٥ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن المبارك عن يونس عن الزهري قال: حدثنا أبو بكر بن (عبد الرحمن بن الحارث عن مروان بن الحكم عن) (١) عبد الرحمن ابن الأسور بن عبد يغوث عن أُبيّ أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: " (إن) (٢) من الشعر حكمة" (٣).
Hazrat Abi narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Surely, some poetry contains wisdom.
Hadith 27686
٢٧٦٨٦ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري عن عروة أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: " (إن) (١) من الشعر (حكمة) (٢) " (٣).
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Surely, there is wisdom in some poetry.
Hadith 27687
٢٧٦٨٧ - حدثنا [أبو أسامة قال: (حدثنا) (١)] (٢) زائدة عن سماك عن ⦗٣٢٤⦘ عكرمة عن ابن عباس أن النبي ﵇ كان يقول: "إن من الشعر حكمًا" (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: Surely, some poetry is beneficial.
Hadith 27688
٢٧٦٨٨ - حدثنا يحيى بن أبي (بكير) (١) قال: حدثنا (حسام) (٢) بن المصك عن ابن بريدة عن أبيه قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن من الشعر حكمًا" (٣).
Hazrat Buraidah narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Certainly, some poetry is beneficial.
Hadith 27689
٢٧٦٨٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن هشام عن أبيه أن النبي ﷺ قال: " (إن) (١) من الشعر حكمًا" (٢).
Hazrat Urwah narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, some poetry is beneficial.
