Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Amr bin Abi Qurrah Al-Kindi narrates that Hazrat Salman and my father set out until both of them reached Hazrat Salman's house, and Hazrat Salman entered the house and said: "Peace be upon you," then he granted Abu Qurrah permission to enter.

Hazrat Abdul Malik narrates that Hazrat Ata said: When you enter your home to your family, say: Assalamu Alaikum. Translation: Peace is a good prayer, blessed and pure from Allah.

Hazrat Husain narrates that Hazrat Abu Malik Al-Ghifari said: When you enter your home to your family, say: Assalamu Alaikum.

Hazrat Abu Khulda narrates that I entered the house with Hazrat Abu Alia, so he offered salam even though there was no one in the house, and he recited some words which I could not understand.

Hazrat Ibn Aun says that Imam Muhammad, regarding the saying of Allah, the Lord of Might: { وَالَّذِینَ لَمْ یَبْلُغُوا الْحُلُمَ مِنْکُمْ } Translation: And those among you who have reached puberty... stated: Our family members used to teach us to say salam, and when any of us would come, he would say: Assalamu Alaikum. May so-and-so enter?

Hazrat Abdul Kareem narrates that when Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz would enter the house, he would say these words:
Translation: I enter with the name of Allah. And all praise is for Allah, there is no power to do good except with Allah’s help, and peace be upon Allah’s Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). O Allah! Open for me the doors of Your mercy, and admit me into a place of truth and bring me out from a place of truth, and grant me from Yourself a clear help and bestow upon me mercy from Your side, surely You are Most Generous in giving. O Allah! Protect me from above from being snatched away, and protect me from beneath my two feet from being sunk, and protect me from my right and my left from the accursed Satan.

Hazrat Abu Ubaidah narrates that when Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) entered his house, he would become familiar and speak, then he would raise his voice.
