Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jabir narrates that a man passed through the mosque carrying arrows, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: Hold the tips close to yourself.

Hazrat Abu Burdah narrates that his father said: When any of you passes through the mosque carrying an arrow, he should hold its tip close to himself.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw some people taking a drawn sword, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah curse them. The narrator says: I asked Hasan, were they in the mosque? He replied: No, rather they were in one of the courtyards of the mosque.

Hazrat Laith narrates that Hazrat Mujahid said: Cursed is the person who hands his brother a drawn sword in the mosque.

Hazrat Aslam al-Manqari narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman bin Abzi considered it disliked to unsheath a sword in the mosque.

Hasan narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever holds a sword against his brother should put the sword back in its sheath.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade taking a drawn sword.

Hasan narrates that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade taking up a drawn sword, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by some people who were taking up a drawn sword, so he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Did I not forbid you from doing this? May Allah curse the person who does this."
