Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Nafi narrates from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who joins hair and the one for whom hair is joined, and the one who tattoos and the one for whom tattooing is done.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Umamah that the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who joins hair and the one who gets her hair joined, the woman who tattoos and the one who gets tattooed, the woman who scratches her face and the one who tears her collar, on the day of Khaybar.

It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that she said: A woman came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "My daughter has been married, and she has contracted measles, so all her hair has fallen out. Can I arrange for hair to be attached to her in this illness?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to that woman, "Allah curses the one who joins hair and the one for whom hair is joined."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah. He says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the woman who begs and the one who makes others beg, and the woman who joins hair and the one who gets hair joined.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who practices tattooing and the one who gets it done, the woman who joins hair and the one who gets her hair joined.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who begs and the one who makes her beg.

It is narrated from Fatima bint Ali (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated, daughter of Abu Talib. She says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) cursed the woman who joins hair with hair.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a girl from the Ansar got married and she became ill, due to which her hair fell out. People wanted to attach hair to her, so they asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who joins hair and the one who has hair joined.

It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib. He says that when Hazrat Muawiyah came to Madinah, he delivered a sermon to us and took out a tuft of hair and said: I think, only a Jew has done this. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was informed about this, he declared this to be a lie.

Hazrat Usman bin Ghiyath narrates about Hazrat Ikrimah that he used to disliked the buns which women make on their heads.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah Almighty has cursed the one who joins hair and the one who has her hair joined, the one who practices witchcraft and the one who has it practiced."

It is narrated from Ibrahim. He says that there is no harm in the pair that is placed on top.

Hazrat Bahiya narrates about Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to prohibit joining (adding) hair to the hair.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). He says that if it is joined with wool, then there is no harm in it.
