Those who permitted and wore black leather socks
Hadith 26810
٢٦٨١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (حدثنا وكيع قال) (١): حدثنا (دلهم) (٢) بن صالح الكندي عن حجير بن (عبد اللَّه) (٣) الكندي عن ابن بريدة عن أبيه أن النجاشي ⦗٧٧⦘ أهدى إلى النبي ﷺ خفين (ساذجين) (٤) أسودين فلبسهما (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Buraidah narrates from his father that Najashi sent two plain black socks as a gift to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace and blessings be upon him) wore them.
Hadith 26811
٢٦٨١١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سوادة بن أبي الأسود عن أبيه عن عبد اللَّه ابن (عمر) (١) قال: عليكم بهذه الخفاف السود فالبسوها (فهي) (٢) أجدر أن تمسحوا عليها (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). He says: These black leather socks are obligatory upon you. So wear them. They are worthy that you wipe (masah) over them.
