Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah. He says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any one of you puts on shoes, he should begin with the right (foot), and when he takes them off, he should begin with the left (foot)."

Hazrat Nafi narrates about Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that when he would put on his shoes, he would start with the right, and when he would take them off, he would start with the left.

Ayyub narrates about Muhammad that he considered it good that when (putting on shoes) one should start with the right (foot), and when (taking off shoes) one should start with the left (foot).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira. He says that when you put on (shoes), start with the right (foot). And when you take off (shoes), start with the left (foot).

It is narrated from the cousin of Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair. He says that when Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair would begin to take off (his shoes), he would remove the left (foot) first, then he would remove the right (foot) and place it over the left.
