Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Yahya bin Abdullah bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to dye his clothes with saffron, even his turban.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ahnaf bin Qais that he said: Hazrat Usman came and he was wearing a yellow-colored sheet with which he had covered his head.

It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Maymoon that on the day Hazrat Umar was attacked, he was wearing yellow clothes.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Zubyan that he said: I saw Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) wearing a yellow shirt and izar (lower garment).

It is narrated from a person named ‘Abad bin Hamzah among the descendants of Hazrat Zubair that a yellow turban was tied on the head of Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awwam in such a way that no part of it was below his chin, then angels descended and they too had tied yellow turbans.

It is narrated from Hazrat Shaibani that he says: I saw Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), son of Khunfiyah, wearing a yellow sheet.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ismail bin Khalid that he said: I saw a yellow-colored izar (lower garment) on Hazrat Mus'ab bin Sa'id while he was sitting with the poor.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Zubyan that he said: I saw Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) wearing a yellow izar which was made of cotton with marks on it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Marzooq that he said: I saw Ibrahim wearing a yellow-colored izar (lower garment).

It is narrated from Hanish bin Harith that he said: I saw Ibrahim wearing a yellow sheet and yellow clothing.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aqeel that he says: Whenever I saw Ibrahim during the winter, he would be wearing a yellow-colored cloak and a yellow-colored lower garment.

Hazrat Malik bin Mughul narrates, he says that I saw Hazrat Hammad offering prayer while there was a yellow-colored izar on his (body).

Hazrat Husain bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, he says that I saw Hazrat Abdullah bin Hasan wearing a yellow-colored sheet with which he had tied his knees and waist in Masjid al-Haram.

It is narrated from Hazrat Qais bin Sa'd that he said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, so we placed water for him with which he could cool himself. Accordingly, he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl (ritual bath), then I brought a yellow-colored sheet to him. I saw the effect of wars (a plant) on the fold of his (peace and blessings be upon him) stomach.
