Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hizam bin Hisham narrates from his father that Hazrat Umar said to his sons, "Do not be persistent in eating meat, and do not drink sweet water in abundance, and do not wear a shirt continuously."

It is narrated from Hazrat Qaqa’ bin Hakeem that he said: Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O Banu Tameem! Do not make a habit of eating meat, for meat also has a ferocity just as wine has a ferocity."

Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father, who says that indeed a man used to be blamed for the fact that he could not abstain from meat.
