On Eating from the Middle of the Bowl
Hadith 26053
٢٦٠٥٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن عطاء بن السائب عن سعيد ابن جبير عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: " (إذا) (١) وضع الطعام فكلوا من (حافته) (٢) [ودعوا وسطه، فإن البركلة تنزل في وسطه" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When food is served, eat from its edges and leave its middle, for indeed, blessing descends in the middle of the food."
Hadith 26054
٢٦٠٥٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن (يزيد) (١) عن مقسم عن ابن عباس قال: إذا وضعت القصعة] (٢) فكلوا من حواليها، وذروا ذروتها، فإن (في) (٣) ذروتها البركة (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). He says that when a bowl (vessel) is placed, then eat from its edges. And leave its center, because blessing is in the center of the bowl.
