Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hisham narrates about Hasan and Hazrat Ibn Sirin that both of these personalities disliked in 'Aqiqah those things which they disliked in sacrifice. The narrator says that 'Aqiqah, according to these personalities, was like sacrifice. That is, it could be eaten by oneself and could also be fed to others.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The meat of the 'Aqiqah should be separated from the joints, and one may eat it oneself and may also feed it to others.
