Hadith 25169
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The nations were presented before me. Then I saw a very large group, so I asked, 'Is this my Ummah?' It was said, 'This is Musa (Moses) and his people.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then I was told, 'Look towards the sky.' So I looked and there was a great multitude that filled the horizon. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It was said, 'This is your Ummah, and among them seventy thousand will enter Paradise without reckoning.'"
Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went inside and did not further explain about them. So the people began to discuss and say, 'We have believed in Allah and we have followed His Messenger, so we are those people, or it refers to our children who were born in the state of Islam.' The narrator says: This matter reached the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: "They are those who do not seek ruqyah (spiritual healing by amulets), nor do they practice divination, nor do they cauterize, but rather they put their trust in their Lord."

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him). He says that one of us suffered from a severe illness, so the physicians said: This man will only recover if he is cauterized. His family intended to have him cauterized, but then some said: No, not until we ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So they asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "No." Then the man recovered. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him, he said: "Is this man from such-and-such tribe?" The people said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If this man had been cauterized, people would have said that it was the cauterization that cured him."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud that he said: We were conversing with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) one night. During this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seventy thousand people will enter Paradise in such a way that there will be no reckoning for them. These are the people who neither get themselves cauterized, nor use amulets, nor take omens, but rather they place their trust in their Lord."

Hazrat Muhammad bin Amr narrates from his father, who narrates from his grandfather, that during the time of Hazrat Umar, I suffered from pleurisy. So, a Bedouin was called to cauterize me. He refused to do so without the permission of Hazrat Umar. Upon this, my father went to Hazrat Umar and informed him of the incident. Hazrat Umar said: Do not go near fire, because this patient has an appointed time, which he can neither advance nor delay.
