Hadith 25132
Hazrat Kharijah bin Salat narrates that his uncle went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he returned, he passed by a villager who was bound in chains. Some people said (to his uncle), "Do you have anything by which you can treat him? Because your companion (meaning the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) has come with good." So I recited Surah Al-Fatihah three times over that villager and performed ruqyah for two consecutive days, and he became healthy. Upon this, those people gave me one hundred sheep as a gift. Then when I reached the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I informed him of this matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did you recite anything other than this?" I replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Eat from those sheep, and say Bismillah. By my life! Whoever eats by means of a false amulet, (so be it), but you will certainly eat by means of a true amulet."
Hadith 25133
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent us thirty horsemen in a military expedition. He says: We stopped by some people and asked them for hospitality, but they did not host us. He says (in the meantime) their chief was bitten. So they came to us and said: Is there anyone among you who can perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) for a scorpion bite? Abu Saeed says: I replied, Yes, but I will not perform ruqyah until you give us some goats. Hazrat Abu Saeed says: They said, We will give you thirty goats. He says: (With this) he was cured, so we said (among ourselves): Do not be hasty until you reach the presence of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The narrator says: So when we reached the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, Abu Saeed says that I mentioned to him what I had done. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Did you know that this (Surah Al-Fatiha) is also a ruqyah? Distribute the goats and set aside my share with yours."
Hadith 25134
It is narrated from Hazrat Qais bin Abi Hazim. He says that a man came to the blessed service of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: I performed ruqyah (spiritual healing) on such-and-such a person who was afflicted with madness. I was given a flock of sheep in return, while I performed the ruqyah only through the Holy Qur'an. Upon this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever took (a reward) through a false amulet, (let him be concerned), but indeed you have taken it for a rightful ruqyah."
Hadith 25135
Hazrat Ya’la (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Murrah narrates: He says, I went on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) until, when we were in the middle of the road, we passed by a woman who was sitting and with her was her child. The woman said, “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! This is my child and he is afflicted with a calamity, and because of it we are also troubled. I do not know how many times in a day this calamity distresses him.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Bring the child to me.” So the woman lifted the child towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he seated the child between himself and the saddle of his mount. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) opened the child’s mouth and blew into it three times, saying these words: “In the name of Allah, I am the servant of Allah, O enemy of Allah, depart!” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) handed the child back to the woman and said: “When we return to this place, meet us and tell us what happened.” The narrator says: So we departed from there, and when we returned, we found the woman at the same place and with her were three goats. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: “What happened to your child?” The woman replied, “By the One Who sent you with the truth, we have not felt any trouble from the child until now. So please take these goats and slaughter them.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Dismount! Take one of these goats and return the rest.”
