Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Mak'hool. He says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to have cupping done at the lower part of the hairline of his forehead, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) called it "Munqidh."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that he says the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done at three places: two veins on both sides of the neck and one between the two shoulders.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Buhaina narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done at the place of Lahy Jamal, and (at that time) he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the state of Ihram and had it done in the middle of his head.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sulaiman bin Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at a place on the route to Aden from Makkah, which was called Lahi Jamal, had cupping performed on his blessed head while he was in the state of Ihram.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mansoor. He says that I asked Hazrat Mujahid, "Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) get cupped?" He replied, "Yes, but the blessed foot of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had become weak, so he had it cupped."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done on his blessed head due to pain, while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the state of Ihram.
