Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Surely Allah Almighty has created the cure wherever He has created the disease. So use medicine."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah. He says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah Almighty has not sent down any disease except that He has also created its cure."

It is narrated from Hazrat Usama bin Sharik. He says that some Bedouins came to the service of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and asked a question. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O servants of Allah! Use medicine, for Allah Almighty has not sent down any disease except old age, but that He has also sent down its cure along with it."

Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah Almighty has not sent down any disease or created any disease except that He has also sent down or created its cure. Whoever comes to know of it, knows it, and whoever remains ignorant of it, remains ignorant—except for sam. The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is sam?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Death."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman. He says that Hazrat Abdullah said: Allah Almighty has not sent down any disease or has not created any disease except that He has also sent down its cure along with it. Whoever remained ignorant of it, remained ignorant, and whoever came to know of it, came to know of it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Aslam that a man was wounded and the blood became clotted. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called two men from Banu Anmar for him and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Who among you is the greater physician?" One man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon you! Is there any good in medicine as well?" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "Surely, the One who has sent down the disease has also sent down the cure."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Qilabah regarding "wa qeela man raqin" that he said: By this is meant a physician.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ka'b. He says that the command of Haqq Jalla Shanuhu is: I alone am the One who grants health and provides cure.
