Pasture Grass and Its Sale
Hadith 24723
٢٤٧٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري عن عبيد اللَّه بن عبد اللَّه عن ابن عباس عن الصعب بن (جثامة) (١) عن النبي ﷺ قال: "لا حمى إلا للَّه (ورسوله) (٢) " (٣).
The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no pasture except for Allah and His Messenger.
Hadith 24724
٢٤٧٢٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن (منع) (١) فضل الماء ليمنع (به) (٢) الكلأ (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade withholding surplus water so that surplus grass may not be withheld because of it.
Hadith 24725
٢٤٧٢٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن معمر عن (ابن) (١) طاوس أن أباه (كان) (٢) يكره بيع الكلأ في منبته.
It is narrated from Ibn Tawoos that Tawoos disliked the sale of the place where grass grows in the pasture.
Hadith 24726
٢٤٧٢٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد القطان عن عبيد اللَّه بن عمر عن نافع عن ابن عمر أن عمر حمى (الربذة) (١) لنعم الصدقة (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had dedicated an additional pasture for the camels of charity.
Hadith 24727
٢٤٧٢٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (وكيع قال: حدثنا) (١) (ثور الشامي) (٢) عن (حريز) (٣) بن عثمان عن أبي (خداش) (٤) عن رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "المسلمون شركاء في (ثلاث) (٥): (الكلأ) (٦) والماء والنار" (٧).
The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Three things are shared by all Muslims: pasture, water, and fire.
