A Person Places a Beam on His Neighbor’s Wall
Hadith 24541
٢٤٥٤١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا منصور بن دينار عن أبي عكرمة المخزومي عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا يمنع أحدكم جاره أن يضع خشبة على جداره" (١).
The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person should prevent his neighbor from placing wood (a beam) on his wall.
Hadith 24542
٢٤٥٤٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا يمنع أحدكم جاره أن يضع خشبة على جداره" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person should prevent his neighbor from placing a wooden beam (girder) on his wall. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: What is the matter with me that I see you turning away from this?! I will strike that wooden beam between your shoulders.
Hadith 24544
٢٤٥٤٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (وكيع قال: حدثنا) (١) سفيان عن سماك ⦗٥٣٥⦘ عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من بنى بناءا فليدعمه (بحائط) (٢) جاره" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever builds a house should allow his neighbor's wall to be supported.
