الرجل يسأل (عندك) الشهادة فيقول: لا
A Person Is Asked: Do You Have Witnesses? He Says No
Hadith 24078
٢٤٠٧٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن جابر عن عامر في الرجل يقول للرجل: عندك شهادة؟ فيقول: لا، ثم يجيء فيشهد، (قال) (١): (هي) (٢) (جائزة) (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Aamir that if a person asks another, "Do you have witnesses?" He replies, "No." Then he himself comes and gives testimony in his favor. He (Aamir) replied that this testimony is permissible.
Hadith 24079
٢٤٠٧٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي عن جعفر بن محمد قال: شهد القاسم بن محمد بشهادة عند أبان بن عثمان لرجل، فجعل الرجل يُذكّره شيئا في شهادته، فيقول: لا أذكره ولا أحفظ إلا هذا، ثم خرج فذكر والقوم قعود فقال: إن هذا سألني شيئا في شهادتي كانت لا أذكره له، وإني قد ذكرته وإني أشهد أن ما (قال) (١) حق وأنا أشهد به.
Hazrat Ja'far narrates that Hazrat Qasim bin Muhammad went to Hazrat Aban bin Uthman to bear witness regarding a person. That person reminded him of something during the testimony. He said, "I do not remember, and I have not remembered anything other than this." Then he left, and it came to his mind while the people were still sitting. He said, "He had asked me something regarding the testimony which I did not remember, and now I have remembered it. I bear witness that what he said is true, and I testify to it."
