Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on him, said that there is no harm in selling an animal for another animal and dirhams, provided that the animal is paid immediately and the dirhams are deferred.

It is narrated from Hasan and Muhammad that a cow may be sold for another cow, and there may be some dirhams between them, and the dirhams may be deferred. Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on him, says that there is no harm in this. And Hasan dislikes it.

Ibrahim says that if a camel is sold for a camel with ten dirhams between them, while the animal is paid for immediately and the dirhams are deferred, then there is no harm in it. But if the dirhams are paid immediately and the animal is deferred, then he disliked it.
