A Free Person Pledges Himself and Then Admits It
Hadith 23784
٢٣٧٨٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: إذا رهن الرجل الحر فأقر بذلك كان رهنا حتى يفكه الذي (رهنه) (١) أو يفك نفسه.
Ibrahim says that if a free man is kept as collateral and he himself also acknowledges (that I am as collateral), then he will remain as collateral until the one who placed him as collateral frees him, or he himself frees himself.
