Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ubaiyah bin Rafa’ah narrates that his grandfather passed away and left behind a slave woman who used to earn money. This matter was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so he ﷺ declared the earnings of the slave woman as disliked and said that perhaps she has no other way, that is why she does so.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade earnings from a slave woman.

Hazrat Usman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Do not make a child responsible for earning, otherwise he will steal; and do not make a slave-girl responsible for earning, otherwise she will earn through her private parts; and remain chaste as long as Allah has kept you chaste, and for you are those profits which are pure and lawful for you.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade taking revenue from a slave woman, except if she is engaged in regular work.
