Hadith 23547
٢٣٥٤٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الشيباني عن الشعبي قال: سألته عن الخص يدعيه أهل هذه الدار وأهل هذه، قال: هو للذي يليهم (القمط) (١).
Hazrat Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about a wooden roof over which two homeowners lay claim. He replied: It belongs to the one whose rope is joined with it. And he was asked about a brick wall over which both this homeowner and that one lay claim. He replied: It belongs to the one whose half is joined with it.
Hadith 23548
٢٣٥٤٨ - وسألته عن الحائط اللبن يدعيه أهل هذه الدار وأهل هذه؟ قال: (هو للذي) (١) يليهم الإنصاف.
23548 - And I asked him about a mud-brick wall claimed by the people of this house and the people of that one. He said: (It belongs to the one) (1) adjacent to them, with fairness.
Hadith 23549
٢٣٥٤٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن زكريا عن حميد (١) قال: تقدمت مع أبي إلى شريح فسمعته يقضي بالخص إلى من كانت (إليه) (٢) القمط.
Hazrat Humaid says that I went with my father to Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him), and I heard that he gave a verdict regarding a wooden roof to which a rope was attached.
