Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim disliked breaking dirhams with the vegetable seller, that he would break dirhams with him and take from him anything other than what he had taken in it.

Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked giving dirhams quickly to the vegetable seller. Then he inquired about this from Hasan. He replied, "By Allah, this has not reached us."

Hazrat Ibn Sirin says that if a person gives a dirham to a vegetable seller, he said that he should not take except that which was entrusted, and if it is kept with him, then he may take it whenever he wishes.

Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on him, disliked that a dirham be given to a vegetable seller and the sale (the goods) be taken from him, but he approved that goods be taken from him, and when the goods reach the value of one dirham, then the dirham be given to him.
