Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan says that if two men wish to form a partnership, there is no harm if one brings a dinar and the other brings dirhams. He said: The dinar in its entirety is the capital, then when they wish to separate, the one with the dinar takes his dinar and the one with the dirhams takes his dirhams, and then whatever profit there is, they should divide it. Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) preferred that dirhams be with dirhams and dinars with dinars.
