Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ikrimah says that there is no harm in leasing land in exchange for wheat.

Ibrahim says that there is no harm if a person rents out his land in exchange for wheat.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about giving land on rent in exchange for dirhams or wheat. He did not consider there to be any harm in it.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that there is no harm if we receive wheat by fixing (the amount).

It is narrated from Hazrat Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has land should cultivate it himself, or else leave it for his brother; he should not rent out the land for a share of one-third or one-fourth, nor for a fixed amount of wheat.
