It Is Not Permissible to Sell Goats with Milk Left in Their Udders
Hadith 22080
٢٢٠٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن خيثمة عن الأسود قال: قال لي عبد اللَّه: إياكم وبيع المحفلات فإنها خلابة (١)، ولا تحل الخلابة لمسلم (٢).
Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Refrain from selling goats after filling their udders with milk, because this is deception, and deception is not permissible for a Muslim.
Hadith 22081
٢٢٠٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن قيس ابن أبي حازم قال: كان يقال: التصرية خلابة.
Hazrat Qais bin Abi Hazim says that filling the udders of goats and then selling them is deception.
Hadith 22082
٢٢٠٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو الأحوص (عن سماك) (١) عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: قال (٢) رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا تستقبلوا (٣) ولا (تحفلوا) (٤) " (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not go out of the city to meet the trading caravans coming from outside the city, and do not sell animals by filling their udders with milk.
Hadith 22083
٢٢٠٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن علي بن مبارك عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي كثير عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا باع أحدكم (اللقحة) (١) أو الشاة فلا يحفلها" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you sell a she-camel or a goat, do not sell it by withholding milk in its udders.
Hadith 22084
٢٢٠٨٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن المسعودي عن جابر عن أبي الضحى عن مسروق عن عبد اللَّه قال: حدثنا رسول اللَّه ﷺ وهو الصادق المصدوق قال: "بيع المحفلات خلابة، ولا تحل الخلابة لمسلم" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the truthful and trusted Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Withholding milk in the udders of animals and then selling them is deception, and deception is not permissible for a Muslim.
