Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that if some people are partners in merchandise loaded on a camel, then one of them can sell it before its distribution.

Hazrat Ibn Sirin says that if two people are partners in a commodity, can one of them sell his share before division? He said that there is no harm in it.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) says that both partners should take out their respective belongings.

Muhammad did not see any harm in a person selling goods before their distribution.

Hasan considered it disliked to sell something before its division if its division could be estimated, and if its division could not be estimated, then there was no harm in selling it before division.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib says that there is no harm if, before the division, one partner sells his share in the goods; however, this is not permissible in things that are measured or weighed.
