Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shurayh says that if there is a disagreement between two witnesses, one testifies to ten and the other to twenty, then the decision will be made according to ten.

It is also narrated similarly from Ibrahim.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdullah bin Wathilah narrates that two witnesses testified before Hazrat Shurayh; one testified to a greater amount and the other to a lesser amount. Hazrat Shurayh accepted the testimony of the one who testified to the lesser amount.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdullah bin Wathilah narrates that two witnesses testified before Hazrat Shurayh, one regarding a thousand and the other regarding five hundred. Hazrat Shurayh accepted the testimony given for five hundred.

Hasan says that testimony given by a lesser number will be accepted.
