Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Do not make a sale by salam in a plant that has sprouted from the seed until it has grown large.

Ibn Sirin states that a plant with clusters cannot be sold before it turns white.

Hazrat Ibn Ashwa' and Hazrat Qasim have considered it disliked to cut bamboos, etc., into pieces and sell them.

Ibrahim considered Bai' Salam (forward sale) in grapes, dried dates, fresh dates, apples, guavas, melons, watermelons, bunches, and bamboos, etc., to be disliked (makruh).
