Regarding Killing City Pigeons
Hadith 21140
٢١١٤٠ - حدثنا (جرير) (١) عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: كان يكره أن يرمي طير حارة وإذا رماه فعليه ثمنه.
Ibrahim says that it is disliked to shoot an arrow at a neighbor's bird; in such a case, the one who kills it will be liable to pay the price of the bird.
Hadith 21141
٢١١٤١ - حدثنا وكيع عن فضيل بن غزوان قال: سمعت رجلًا يسأل (نافعًا) (١) عن صيد حمام المدينة فكرهها.
Hazrat Nafi was asked about hunting city pigeons, so he declared it disliked (makruh).
Hadith 21142
٢١١٤٢ - حدثنا أبو أسامة أو (حدثت) (١) عنه عن عثمان بن غياث عن الحسن أنه كره صيد حمام (٢) الأمصار.
Hasan has considered hunting city pigeons to be disliked.
Hadith 21143
٢١١٤٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم أنه كره أن يحال الرجل -يعني: يأذن- هذا لهذا في حمامه (وهذا) (١) لهذا في حمامه.
Ibrahim considered it disliked that one man gives another man permission, and the other man gives the first man permission, to hunt his pigeon.
Hadith 21144
٢١١٤٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن فضيل عن نافع أنه كره صيد حمام الأمصار.
Hazrat Nafi' declared hunting of city pigeons as disliked (makruh).
Hadith 21145
٢١١٤٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن (حسن) (١) بن صالح قال: سألت ابن أبي ليلى عن رجل أصاب صيدا بالمدينة فقال: نحكم عليه. كمل كتاب الصيد والحمد للَّه (حق حمده) (٢) (وصلواته على نبيه وعبده وعلى آله وسلم) (٣) (ويتلوه كتاب البيوع والأقضية في الشريكين) (٤)
Hazrat Hasan bin Salih says that I asked Hazrat Ibn Abi Laila, "If someone hunts an animal in the city, what is the ruling?" He replied that he will be punished.
