If a Man or Woman Commits Adultery and Is Stoned, Do They Inherit from Each Other?
Hadith 20368
٢٠٣٦٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا يزيد بن هارون (عن هشام) (١) عن الحسن قال: أيهما رجم الزوج (أو) (٢) المرأة، فلصاحبه منه الميراث.
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if either the husband or the wife is stoned to death, the other will inherit.
Hadith 20369
٢٠٣٦٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن مهدي عن حماد بن سلمة عن قتادة عن علي قال: إذا رجم فلها الميراث (١).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that if the husband is stoned to death, the wife will receive inheritance.
Hadith 20370
٢٠٣٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: إذا تزوج الرجل المرأة ثم فجرت، (أقيم) (١) عليها الحد، وإن ماتت تحت (السياط) (٢) ورثها.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if a man marries a woman, then that woman commits adultery, the prescribed punishment is carried out on her, and she dies, then the man will inherit from the woman.
Hadith 20371
٢٠٣٧١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا يحيى بن آدم عن زهير عن جابر عن (عامر) (١) في رجل أقام أربعة شهداء على امرأته (أنها) (٢) زنت، قال: ترجم ويرثها.
Hazrat Aamir (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a man produces four witnesses against his wife for committing adultery, then the woman will be stoned to death and the man will be her heir.
