Ruling on the Divorce of a Mukatabah Slave Woman
Hadith 20366
٢٠٣٦٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع عن سفيان عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: المكاتبة طلاقها طلاق الأمة، وعدتها عدة الأمة.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the ruling of divorce for a slave woman under a contract of manumission is the same as that of a slave woman, and her waiting period (‘iddah) is also like that of a slave woman.
