Those Scholars Who Consider Unjustified Divorce Disliked
Hadith 20327
٢٠٣٢٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا محمد بن فضيل عن ليث عن شهر بن حوشب قال: تزوج رجل (١) وامرأة على عهد النبي ﷺ فطلقها فقال له النبي ﷺ: "طلقتها؟ " قال: نعم، قال: "مِنْ بَأسِ؟ " قال: لا يا رسول اللَّه، ثم تزوج أخرى، ثم طلقها، فقال له رسول اللَّه ﷺ: (طلقتها؟) (٢) قال: نعم، قال: "من بأس؟ "، قال: لا يا رسول اللَّه، [ثم تزوج أخرى ثم طلقها، فقال له رسول اللَّه ﷺ: (أطلقتها؟) (٣) قال: نعم، قال: "من بأس؟ " قال لا يا رسول اللَّه] (٤) ﷺ فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ في الثالثة: "إن اللَّه لا يحب كل ذوّاق من الرجال ولا كل ذوّاقة من النساء" (٥).
Hazrat Shahr bin Hawshab (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man married a woman, then divorced her. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Did you divorce your wife?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet asked, "Was there any reason?" He said, "No." Then he married another woman, and then divorced her. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Did you divorce your wife?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet asked, "Was there any reason?" He said, "No." Then he married another woman, and then divorced her. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Did you divorce your wife?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet asked, "Was there any reason?" He said, "No." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Allah does not like every man who is a pleasure-seeker nor every woman who is a pleasure-seeker."
Hadith 20328
٢٠٣٢٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع بن الجراح عن (معروف) (١) (عن محارب) (٢) ابن دثار قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ليس شيء مما أحل اللَّه أبغض إليه من الطلاق" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Muharib bin Dithar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Of the things which Allah has made lawful, the most disliked by Allah is divorce.
Hadith 20329
٢٠٣٢٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حاتم بن إسماعيل عن جعفر عن أبيه قال: قال علي: يا أهل العراق -أو يا أهل الكوفة- لا تزوجوا حسنا، فإنه رجل (مطلاق) (١) (٢).
The father of Hazrat Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), addressing the people of Iraq or the people of Kufa, said: "Do not marry your daughters to Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him); he is a man who divorces a lot."
Hadith 20330
٢٠٣٣٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حاتم (عن) (١) جعفر عن أبيه قال: قال علي: ما زال الحسن يتزوج ويطلق حتى (خشيت) (٢) أن يكون عداوة في القبائل (٣).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) marries and divorces, to the extent that I fear he may become a cause of enmity among the tribes.
