If a Man Accuses His Wife of Stealing His Money and Swears She Did, What Is the Ruling?
Hadith 20322
٢٠٣٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو داود الطيالسي عن (حماد) (١) بن سلمة عن زياد الأعلم عن الحسن في امرأة (غيبت صك) (٢) رجل فقال: أنت طالق ثلاثًا إن لم (تكن) (٣) (غيبتها) (٤) فقال الحسن: إن كان صادقا فهي امرأته.
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if a woman stole her husband's money and the man said, "If you have not stolen, then you are thrice divorced," Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if the man is truthful, she will remain his wife. Hazrat Hammad (may Allah be pleased with him) says that in this matter, her piety will be considered.
