Who Is a Man Obliged to Support?
Hadith 20313
٢٠٣١٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا (عبد الرحمن) (١) بن مهدي عن سفيان عن الشيباني عن حماد قال: يجبر كل ذي محرم على أن ينفق على محرمه.
Hazrat Hammad (may Allah have mercy on him) says that every person with whom there is a relationship of mahram will be compelled to spend on his mahram.
Hadith 20314
٢٠٣١٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع عن سفيان عن عمرو عن الحسن قال: يجبر على نفقة كل وارث.
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that every heir will be compelled to provide maintenance.
Hadith 20315
٢٠٣١٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حفص عن إسماعيل عن الحسن أن عمر أجبر رجلا على نفقة [ابن أخيه (١).
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) compelled a man to provide for his brother.
Hadith 20316
٢٠٣١٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري قال: يجبر الرجل على نفقة] (١) والديه ينفق عليهما بالمعروف.
Hazrat Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a person will be compelled to provide for his parents and he will spend on them with kindness.
Hadith 20317
٢٠٣١٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو داود الطيالسي عن هشام عن حماد عن إبراهيم قال: يجبر على نفقة أخيه إذا كان معسرًا.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if someone's brother is needy, he will be compelled to spend on him.
Hadith 20318
٢٠٣١٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا معاذ بن معاذ قال: نا أشعث عن الحسن أنه كان يلزم ولد ابنه إذا كان فقيرًا وكان الجد غنيًا.
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if the grandfather is wealthy, he will be ordered to spend on his needy grandson.
