If a Man Divorces His Wife and She Has a Nursing Child, What Is the Ruling?
Hadith 20295
٢٠٢٩٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن أبي زائدة عن مجالد عن الشعبي عن مسروق قال: إذا طلق الرجل امرأته ولها منه ولد فعليه الرضاع.
Hazrat Masrooq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when a man divorces his wife and she has a nursing child, then the arrangement for the milk will be obligatory upon the man.
Hadith 20296
٢٠٢٩٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي (الأحوص) (١) عن عبد اللَّه قال: عليه رضاعه حتى (تفطمه) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when a man divorces his wife and she has a nursing child, then the arrangement for the child's milk will be obligatory upon the man, as long as the child does not stop nursing.
