If a Woman Is Pregnant with Another Man's Child While Married, and the Child Dies, Those Scholars Who Say the Husband Cannot Approach Her Until She Menstruates
Hadith 19878
١٩٨٧٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن (١) نمير عن حجاج عن قتادة عن خلاس عن علي في الرجل يتزوج (المرأة) (٢) ولها ولد من غيره فيموت؟ قال: لا يقربها حتى يتبين له ما في بطنها أو تحيض حيضة (٣).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if a woman has a husband and there is a child in her womb from someone else, then the man cannot approach the woman until the situation of the child in her womb becomes clear or until she menstruates.
Hadith 19879
١٩٨٧٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا يحيى بن زكريا عن محمد بن مسلم عن إبراهيم (ابن) (١) ميسرة عن عمر قال: لا يقربها حتى ينظر (أبها حبلٌ) (٢) أو لا (٣).
Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Do not go near her until it becomes clear whether she is pregnant or not.
Hadith 19880
١٩٨٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن (عياش) (١) عن الشيباني عن حسان بن (٢) ⦗٣٦٤⦘ (المخارق) (٣) أن الحسن بن علي قال: لا يقربها حتى تعتد أو قال: حتى تحيض (٤).
Hazrat Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he should not go near her until she has completed her waiting period or she experiences menstruation.
Hadith 19881
١٩٨٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن إدريس عن أشعث عن الشعبي أن (الحسن) (١) بن علي صلَّى على جنازة فقال للزوج -وللمراة ولد من غيره-: ليس لك أن تستلحق (٢) سهمًا ليس لك (٣).
Hazrat Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) led a funeral prayer and then said to the husband (when the woman had a child from another man), "It is not permissible for you to lay claim to the share of another."
Hadith 19882
١٩٨٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن إدريس عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم وعمارة (قالا) (١): لا يقربها حتى (يتبين) (٢) (حمل) (٣) أم لا.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Ammarah (may Allah be pleased with her) say that he should not go near her until it becomes clear whether she is pregnant or not.
Hadith 19883
١٩٨٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن أبي زائدة عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم قال: لا يقربها حتى تحيض حيضة.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that he should not go near her until she gets her menses.
