Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said that the way to end the oath of Ila is intercourse.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that the confirmation of the intention of divorce is the passing of four months, and the way to end the oath of Ila is intercourse.

Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the oath of Ila does not end without intercourse.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the oath of Ila does not end without intercourse.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the way to end the oath of Ila is intercourse.

Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud, and Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) state that the way to end the oath of Ila is through intercourse. Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if there is an excuse due to old age, illness, or if he does not have access to his wife because of imprisonment, then verbal or heartfelt retraction is also sufficient.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked that if a person makes ila (an oath of abstinence) from his wife and after that, apart from intercourse, does everything else with his wife that a husband does with his wife, then what is the ruling? He replied that if four months have passed before intercourse, then an irrevocable divorce will take place.

Hazrat Masrooq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the way to end the oath of Ilaa is intercourse.
