Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a woman becomes separated from her husband through one or two divorces (ba'inah), and then the man marries the same woman again and then divorces her without consummation, the woman will receive half the dowry.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: If a man makes ila’ (an oath of abstinence) from his wife, she separates from him, and during her ‘iddah he marries her, and before consummation he divorces her, what is the ruling? He replied: The woman will receive half the dowry and there will be no ‘iddah upon her.

Hazrat Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) say that if a man granted khula to his wife and then married her again during her waiting period (‘iddah), and then divorced her before consummation, the woman will receive the full dower (mahr) and she will complete the remainder of her waiting period.

Hazrat Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him) said that she will receive half the dowry.

Hazrat Maymun, may Allah have mercy on him, says that if a man took compensation for khula from his wife, then sent her a marriage proposal and married her, and fixed a dowry, then divorced her before consummation, the woman will receive half the dowry. Hazrat Jafar, may Allah have mercy on him, says that apart from Hazrat Maymun, other scholars also say that she will receive half the dowry.
