Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim, Hazrat Tawus, and Hazrat Amir (s) state that if a slave woman is married to a free man, and that slave woman is set free and she chooses for herself, then this separation will occur without divorce.

Hazrat Hammad (may Allah have mercy on him) and Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) say that if a slave woman is freed and then given the right of choice, and she chooses herself, then this separation will occur without divorce.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said that this is an irrevocable divorce.

Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if she chose herself, then this is an irrevocable divorce.
