Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Zuhri, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that the wife of Hazrat Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl accepted Islam before him. Then, during her waiting period (‘iddah), Hazrat Ikrimah (may Allah be pleased with him) also accepted Islam, so she returned to his marriage, and this happened during the blessed era of the Prophet ﷺ.

Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if the husband of a newly converted Muslim woman accepts Islam during her waiting period (‘iddah), then she will remain his wife.

Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if the husband of a newly converted Muslim woman accepts Islam during her waiting period (‘iddah), then he has more right to her.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if the husband of a newly converted Muslim woman accepts Islam during her waiting period (‘iddah), then she will remain his wife.

Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if the husband of a newly converted Muslim woman accepts Islam during her waiting period (‘iddah), she will remain his wife.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a person accepts Islam after his wife, then during the waiting period (iddah), the woman will have the choice, or he said that in the case of accepting Islam during the woman's waiting period, he will have more right.

Hazrat Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a Jew or Christian accepts Islam and then his wife accepts Islam, their marriage will remain intact. However, if the ruler has separated them, then the marriage is terminated.
