Ruling If a Man Says: 'You Have One Divorce Equal to a Thousand Divorces' or 'Equal to the Load of a Camel'
Hadith 19221
١٩٢٢١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حميد بن عبد الرحمن عن علي بن عمر بن حسين عن جعفر عن أبيه عن علي في رجل طلق امرأته حمل بعير قال: لا تحل له حتى تنكح زوجًا غيره (١).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if a person says to his wife, "You are divorced equal to the load of a camel," then this woman is not lawful for that husband until she marries another man.
Hadith 19222
١٩٢٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن فضيل عن أشعث (عن الحسن) (١) عن أسيد (عن) (٢) عرفجة عن عائشة في رجل طلق امرأته واحدة كألف (٣) (قالت) (٤): لا تحل له حتى تنكح زوجًا غيره (٥).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that if a person says to his wife, "You have a divorce that is equal to a thousand divorces," then this woman is not lawful for this husband until she marries another man.
