Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a person mentions divorce or emancipation and says "Insha Allah," then divorce and emancipation will take effect, whether he breaks the oath or keeps it. And Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if he does not break the oath, then they will not take effect.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) and Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) say that advancing or delaying the pronouncement of divorce is the same, when it is brought together with speech.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) say that whether he brings divorce forward or delays it, his saying "Insha Allah" will remain.

Hazrat Zuhri, may Allah have mercy on him, regarding the exception of divorce and emancipation, says that whether one advances or delays the divorce, saying "Insha Allah" will remain effective.

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when one initiates with divorce, it will take effect whether he is swearing an oath or not, and Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that Shurayh does not know.

Hazrat Saeed Zubaidi says that once I came to my wife very late at night, so she said to me, "You have come to me at this time only because you have another wife as well." I said, "If I have another wife, then she is divorced." I asked Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) about this matter, and he said that there is no harm in this statement.
