Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no one more possessive than Allah Almighty, and for this reason, He has forbidden all types of apparent and hidden indecency."

Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are you amazed at Sa’d’s (may Allah be pleased with him) sense of honor? I am more possessive than Sa’d, and Allah is more possessive than me. Because of His sense of honor, Allah has forbidden all kinds of apparent and hidden indecencies."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Atiq Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is a type of protective jealousy (ghayrah) that Allah likes, and there is a type that Allah dislikes. The type of protective jealousy that Allah likes is that which occurs in the case of doubt and disobedience, and the type that Allah dislikes is that which occurs without doubt or disobedience.

Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that keep the woman in the house because a woman is something to be concealed. When a woman leaves her house, Satan observes her, and says to her that whoever you pass by, you affect him.

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Keep women simple and help them in this, because when their clothes are many and their adornment is fine, they like to go out."

Hazrat Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him) says that everything of a woman is to be covered, even her nails.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am very possessive, and Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was also possessive, and only that person does not have possessiveness who is a cuckold or effeminate."
