Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that a slave can see the hair of his mistress.

Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) considered it permissible for a woman to leave her clothes with her slave, but he regarded it as undesirable for the slave to see his mistress's hair.

Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) considered it disliked that a slave should see the hair of his mistress.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a woman should observe veiling from her slave.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) says that do not be deceived by this verse of the Holy Qur'an {إلاَّ مَا مَلَکَتْ أَیْمَانُکُمْ } By this, it is meant female slaves, not male slaves.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a slave cannot enter without the permission of his mistress.

Hazrat Dahhak (may Allah have mercy on him) did not consider it appropriate for a slave to see the hair of his female owner.
