Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) got married, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Give a wedding feast, even if it is with only one goat."

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a lawful meeting with one of his wives, then sent me to invite some people for a meal.

Hazrat Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that when Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) got married, gold was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said to Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), "Spend it on your needs." Then he said to his companions, "Help your brother in the wedding feast (walimah)."

Hazrat Mansur bin Safiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his mother that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held the wedding feast (walimah) for one of his wives with two mudd of barley.

Hazrat Hafsa narrates that when my father Sirin got married, he hosted a feast for seven days for the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. When it was the day of the Ansar's invitation, Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b, Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit, and Hazrat Mu'adh, may Allah be pleased with them, were invited. Hazrat Ubayy, may Allah be pleased with him, was fasting that day. When everyone had finished eating, Hazrat Ubayy, may Allah be pleased with him, made a supplication and the rest of the people said Ameen to that supplication.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held the wedding feast (walima) of Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) and fed the Muslims abundantly with bread and meat.

Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) married off one of his sons, then held a walima and invited some people.

Hazrat Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to serve food on the occasion of children's circumcision.

Hazrat A'mash (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Wa'il (may Allah have mercy on him) gave a wedding feast with a cow's head and four large loaves of bread.

Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I got married during the lifetime of my father. My father invited people, among whom was Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) as well.

Hazrat Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Hamzah bin Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both, may Allah have mercy on him) slaughtered several camels for a wedding feast (walimah).

Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that my father had me and Naeem bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) circumcised and sacrificed a ram for us. I remember that we were cutting its pieces and throwing them towards the boys.
