Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any of you intends to go to his wife, he should recite this supplication: In the name of Allah, O Allah! Protect us from Satan, and protect the offspring You grant us from Satan as well. After reciting this supplication, if Allah grants a child, that child will remain safe from the effects of Satan.

Hazrat Abu Asid's freed slave, Hazrat Abu Saeed, says that when I got married, I was a slave. I invited a group of the Prophet ﷺ's companions. Among them were Hazrat Ibn Masood, Hazrat Abu Dharr, and Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with them). When the time for prayer came, Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) was about to step forward, but the companions said to him, "You go ahead," and asked me to lead the prayer. I was a slave, yet I led the prayer. Then they said to me, "When you go to your wife, perform two rak'ahs of prayer, then ask Allah for goodness and seek refuge from evil. Then engage with your wife."

Hazrat Alqamah narrates that when Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) would have intimacy with his wife, he would recite this supplication: O Allah! Whatever offspring You grant us, do not give Satan control over them.

Hazrat Umm Musa states that when a girl was sent off (in marriage) in Madinah, she was first brought to the mosque to perform two units of prayer, and then brought to the wives of the Holy Prophet ﷺ so that they could pray for her.

Hazrat Shaqiq narrates that a man named Abu Jarir came to Hazrat Abdullah and said, "I have married a young girl and I fear that she may become disinterested in me." Hazrat Abdullah replied, "Love is from Allah and dislike is from Satan. Satan wants to make that which Allah has made lawful disliked by you. When she comes to you, instruct her to pray two rak'ahs of prayer behind you."
