Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdur Rahman Sada'i reports that a man came to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "I have a paternal cousin. I love her and want to marry her. However, I have also derived pleasure from her." Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "If you have committed an internal act, that is, intercourse, then you cannot marry her. But if it was an external act, such as kissing, then there is no harm."

Hazrat Abdullah (regarding the person who wishes to marry a woman after committing adultery with her) says that both of them will still remain adulterers.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said (about the person who wishes to marry a woman after committing adultery with her) that even after living together, they will remain adulterers.

Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid (regarding the person who wishes to marry a woman after committing adultery with her) says that both of them are adulterers; there should be a sea between them.

Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the person who wishes to marry a woman after committing adultery with her, says that they will always remain adulterers.
