Hadith 17317
١٧٣١٧ - حدثنا هشيم عن ابن سالم عن الشعبي.
Ibrahim says that after a year has passed, the woman will be given the choice: if she wishes, she may keep the marriage, and if she wishes, she may end it.
Hadith 17318
١٧٣١٨ - و (عبيدة) (١) عن إبراهيم (قالا) (٢): (٣) تخير في رأس الحول فإن شاءت أقامت وإن شاءت فارقته.
17318 - And (Ubaidah) (1) from Ibrahim (they said) (2): (3) She has the choice at the completion of the year; if she wishes, she may remain, and if she wishes, she may separate from him.
Hadith 17319
١٧٣١٩ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن محمد بن سالم عن الشعبي عن شريح قال: كتب إلي عمر أن أجله سنة فإن استطاعها وإلا خيرها فإن شاءت أقامت وإن شاءت فارقته (١).
Hazrat Shurayh narrates that Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, wrote a letter to me stating that an impotent man should be given a respite of one year; if he becomes capable of intercourse, then fine, otherwise give the woman the choice—if she wishes, she may maintain the marriage, and if she wishes, she may end it.
