Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that when Jewish or Christian women are taken captive, they will be invited to accept Islam and urged to embrace Islam. Then, whether they accept Islam or not, intercourse with them is permissible and they can also be made to serve.

Hazrat Mak'hool says that a man can have intercourse with a Jewish or Christian slave woman.

Hasan says that a man can have intercourse with a Jewish or Christian slave woman.

Hazrat Mujahid says that when a man acquires a polytheist slave-girl, he should invite her to testify to La ilaha illallah. If she refuses even then, he can still have intercourse with her.

Hazrat Abdullah considered intercourse with a polytheist slave woman to be disliked (makruh).

Hazrat Zuhri says that if a man has a polytheist slave-girl, then the man can have intercourse with her. And he can compel her to perform ghusl (ritual bath).

Hazrat Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) says that a man should not have intercourse with a captive woman until she declares "La ilaha illallah" and accepts Islam.

Hazrat Amr bin Harm reports that Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid was asked: If a man buys a captive slave woman, can he have intercourse with her? He replied: He cannot have intercourse with her until he teaches her about prayer, ritual bath after sexual impurity, and cleaning the pubic hair.

Hazrat Hasan bin Muhammad narrates that the Holy Prophet ﷺ, when giving orders regarding the Magians of Hajar, wrote a letter stating that they should be invited to Islam, and whoever accepts Islam, his Islam should be accepted, and whoever does not accept Islam, jizya should be imposed upon him. However, their women should not be married, nor should their slaughtered animals be eaten.
